Soft Apocalypse Quilted Pocket Pattern

This is my Soft Apocalypse foragers bag pattern. It’s a sci-fi take on a traditional 18th Century tie-on pocket with some twists.

When you purchase this pattern you will receive a pdf document which details the measurements, construction details and information about the pattern. The pattern file is a pdf digital pattern which has been optimised for use on a sewing projector. There is no printable version of this pattern, but the documents detail all of the measurements you need.

Ways in which this pocket deviates from a traditional tie on pocket:

– The pocket is made from quilted fabric - the pattern includes two examples of quilting designs that could be used on this pocket bag.

— The pocket has belt loops - bias binding at the top of the pocket does not turn into the waistband as in traditional pocket designs which means it can be put onto any belt you like.

— The pattern includes a thigh strap loop. Add your own thigh strap for stability and an extra futuristic feel.

— The pocket has a gusset which gives the bag depth. This means you can carry more 3D items and not just secret hand written notes.

I made this pattern for myself, but i’m more than happy to share and for you to make your own version.
